Rent, Furnish, Live

10 years ago, a car was a personal item and only friends and family got to ride in it. Houses were sacred then too…think anyone would have housed a stranger? Definitely not! Offices also belonged solely to one organization and you would typically find only employees of that organization inside the building. So, what changed?

Uber, Airbnb and WeWork!

All three companies and numerous others broke the known barriers and created what is now known as the sharing economy. Like the name implies, these businesses work with a model built on sharing to a large extent, and the impact of these business have been undeniably life altering but hugely successful and widespread so that at the tap of certain buttons on your phone, you can request a ride, have a car pull up to your exact location and take you to your desired destination just like that!

The question is…going on the strength of the repeated success of this model what else can we share?

Furniture?

This is what we were thinking when we came up with Furnisheet. You’re wondering how this will work. Hear me out.

Furnisheet is an online furniture rental platform that will help anyone who is interested furnish their home in 3-7 business days at an affordable cost. You get to pay monthly, with the option of exchanging any rented furniture for another piece, and you get a complimentary setup and retrieval at the expiration of your rental period. What is even better, is you can get to keep the furniture if you rent to own i.e pay the cost of your furniture over an agreed period!

Being millennials ourselves, we know how costly it is to “start your life” and get comfortable. You must rent a place, and the cost of rent alone gives the best of us minor heart attacks, then you must furnish it.  Furnisheet as a business aims to help millennials and Gen Z furnish their living spaces much more easily by reducing the upfront cost, giving them payment flexibility, comfort, and Speed of service.

Humor me. Imagine what it would cost to furnish an apartment today. At the very least, you need a bed, a table, a chair, a bedside locker, a wardrobe and a dressing table. The cost of doing this basic furnishing is a good 70% of your salary easily. You just did the math. Ha. I see you fellow kobo counter.

Flip this scenario…imagine that a student or a Youth Corp member must buy basic furniture on a stipend or an allowance. Does putting the “Mattress on the floor” now make any sense to you? Especially since this is a very short-term arrangement. If you do succeed in making that wardrobe and bed frame over 6 months, when your short stay is over, you get no refunds, no exchange and the resell value of your furniture has dropped by half!

Furnisheet wants to take your hassle away in 5 simple steps

  1. Log on to furnisheet.com and choose the furniture you need.
  2. You would make a payment on the site (minimum of 3 months rental period with monthly automatic payments).
  3. Sign a rental agreement
  4. Have your furniture delivered to you.
  5. Rent to own or request pick up at the end of rental tenure.

It is a plug and play solution that comes with no extra burden.

It is as simple as Rent, Furnish and Live.
